The Eu Skills Profile Tool now speaks Ukrainian too

Free and online, the tool promoted by the European Commission can be useful for a first skills profiling of refugees from Ukraine

The EU Skills Profile Tool for Third Country Nationals is a free multilingual online tool promoted by the European Commission for a first skills profiling of migrants and refugees.

It can be used by anyone who comes into contact with these people: public authorities responsible for reception and integration, employment services, social services, Third Sector organisations, businesses and private citizens... Thanks to a new Ukrainian language translation, which has just been implemented, it will also prove particularly useful with refugees from the ongoing war who are arriving in EU countries, including Italy.

Through a series of questions translated both into the language of the operator and into the language of the interviewee and accompanied by explanatory drawings, the EU SKills Profile Tool builds a profile with personal information, expectations and a first identification of skills. The practitioner can include an overall assessment and recommendations on the next steps the person should take to improve his/her skills, to get qualifications or to enter the labour market.

The interview can also be customised by adding or deleting questions. The profile generated at the end of the interview, which is in part very similar to a CV, can be printed or exported as a PDF, Word, Excel or XML file. In this way it can be updated or modified at a later stage, but it can also accompany the person on his/her migration path.
